Neal Beasley, 21 of Murphysboro, IL passed away at his home, Sunday, March 28, 2021. An employee of Lowes, in his free time Neal enjoyed playing Airsoft and Role-playing video games. He had a passion for smoking and barbecuing on the grill. Neal brought so much love and joy into our lives and to those around him. Not a day goes by when he is not loved and missed, held in our hearts forever.
The family invite you to gather with them from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Sutherland – Rankin Funeral Home in Salem. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 1:00 pm with burial to follow in the Harvey’s Point Cemetery, Kell, IL. We suggest you wear a mask, and respect social distancing in accordance with the CDC and State of Illinois Phase 4 Revitalization guidelines, allowing 50 guests at one time inside the funeral home. He is survived by his father, Landon Beasley and wife Nhung of Murphysboro, IL; his mother Kristy Dawn Whelchel of Brownstown, IL; his step-mother Amanda Baker of Cape Girardeau, MO; sisters Kassandra Beasley of Murphysboro, IL, Karyssa Harrison of Cape Girardeau, MO and Sarah Whelchel of Brownstown, IL. Also left to mourn his passing are his maternal grandparents Edward and Katherin Whelchel of Patoka, IL, paternal step-grandfather Gary G. Coatney, Centralia, IL, paternal great grandparents Joyce Rankin Heyduck of Salem, John (Carolyn) Sands of Salem, IL and paternal great-great grandmother Alice Beasley of Iuka, IL. and a host of relatives and friends.
He was born April 22, 1999 in Centralia, Illinois, the son of Landon A. Beasley and Kristy D. Whelchel. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William “Bill” Beasley and Kathryn L. Beasley Coatney, and paternal great-great grandfather, Tom Beasley.
