Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say there were no serious injuries Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at Route 161 and Route 37 south of Salem.
Reports indicate a northbound car driven by 20-year-old Sebastian Whipple of 22nd Street in Mt. Vernon rear-ended a pickup truck stopped in front of him driven by 43-year-old Eugene White of North Howard Street in Salem. Both drivers were checked at the scene and declined hospital treatment.
Whipple was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and no insurance.
The crash occurred at 3:14 Wednesday afternoon.
