A 27-year-old Centralia man has been arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail on drug charges following an early Sunday morning traffic stop.  Centralia Police say Donald DeClue of East 11th was stopped at Cherry and Noleman initially for driving on a suspended license.   Charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of meth were added after DeClue was allegedly found to have the drugs.

22-year-old William Ballard of Broadway in Mt. Vernon was arrested by Centralia Police for alleged domestic battery after they were called to a flight in the parking lot of the Industrial Tavern in Wamac at 4:24 Sunday morning.   Ballard was taken to the Marion County Jail.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a tiller from a garage in the 1300 block of Copple Road in rural Centralia.   A padlock was reportedly removed to gain entry.
