2021 04/17 – Karen Sue Hasler

Karen Sue Hasler, age 73 of Salem, passed away on Tuesday April 13, 2021 at her home. Karen worked as a caregiver. She was a member of the Orchardville Church. Karen loved her family and her fur babies.

Funeral services for Karen Sue Hasler will be held on Saturday April 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Church of the Nazarene in Salem with Mark Copley officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem. There will be a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the church on Friday. Memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Hospital and can be left at the Crouse Funeral Home who is assisting the family with arrangements. Survivors include her sons, Ben Evans and wife Brenda of Troy, MO and Randy Evans and wife Teresa of Salem; daughter in-law: Djuna Evans of Salem; step children, Ron Dunbar of Michigan, Frank Dunbar and wife Lori of Salem, Jodi Dunbar of Salem, Becky Keller and husband Eddie of Flora Sue Rose and husband Leonard of Centralia, Mary Miller and husband Ernie of Salem; sister, Janie Owens and husband Mike of Centralia; grandchildren, Rachel Evans, Tyler Evans, Nathan Evans, Wade Evans, Joey Evans Jr., Blake Evans, Laikyn Evans, and Hailey Evans; step grandchildren, Angela and Chris Hollister, Carey and J.D. Abrams, John and Kari Collier, Tommy Rose, Johnny Rose, and Angela Rose; and a sister in-law, Vicki Woodward of Salem. Karen was also survived by several great grandchildren.

Karen was born on July 27, 1947 in Salem, IL the daughter of Alfred and Gladys (Short) Woodward. She married William Earl Evans and he preceded her in death on August 18, 1979. She later married Ron Dunbar and he preceded her in death on September 17, 1992. She then married Virgil Hasler and he also preceded her in death on March 23, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, a son, Joey Evans Sr.; 13 siblings, and a great grandson, Kingsley Evans.
