Two arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on drug charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges following an incident that started at the Marion County Jail.

20-year-old Katlin Hollinshead of East 5th in Kinmundy was arrested for possession of a controlled substance after the K9 alerted on her outside the law enforcement center while she there to reportedly put money on another inmate’s commissary.

25-year-old John Phillips of Lynwood Drive in Salem was later arrested following a traffic stop while driving Hollinshead’s vehicle. He was taken into custody for alleged possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and possession of meth.
