Future Wildcats Track Meet Held At SCHS

The Future Wildcat Track Meet was held at Salem High yesterday.  Franklin Park won the boys event with 139.5 followed by Raccoon with 67, Selmaville 32 and then Iuka with 30.5.

The shot was won by Salem’s Frank Podergois with Luke Anderson of Iuka 2nd.  Noah Nix won the discus ahead of teammate Morgan Mickens.  Miking Ettress of Raccoon won the long jump with Salem’s Keaton Gullion 2nd, Iuka’s Anderson won the high jump followed by  Salem’s Ryegan Warren.  Patten and Cole Casburn went 1-2 in the 400.  Robbie Shober and Caidien Beer of Salem were 1-2 in the 1600 with Caiden Lamb 3rd of Raccoon.  Angel Salgado won the 7th grade 100 with Raccoon’s Etress winning the 8th grade race.  Salem also swept all of the relays.

The Salem girls won their event with 128 points followed by Raccoon with 81, Selmaville 24 and Iuka with 5.

Salem’s Engel won the shot and discus with Willow Ambrugey 2nd in the latter.  Collier and Douglas were 1-2 in the long jump with Purcielli winning the high jump.  Bandy won the pole vault with Bullard top spot in the hurdles.  Puricelli won the 4oom, Laird the mile, Bullard also won the 7th grade 100, Laird won the 800 and Puricelli the 200.  Katelyn Bryan of Salem was 2nd in the 800.
