The Salem Wildcats sent their 13 seniors out in style as they finished their abbreviated season at 3-3 following last night’s 44-20 victory over visiting Wood River.
Salem opened the game in style recovering 2 muffed kickoffs on their first 2 kicks to take an early 12-0 lead. They would push that to 32-14 after the first half.

Keyton Mitchell led Salem as the senior finished with 23 carries for 204 yards which also included touchdown runs of 8, 28 and 62 yards. Caden Bee had 3 amazing catches for 109 yards including a 35 yard score. Brayden Smith caught 4 balls for 70 yards including a 12 yard score from QB Quentin
Purcell who finished the game 9-13 for 168 yards and one touchdown. He also added a 1 yard QB sneak for a touchdown. Fellow senior Donovan Williams connected early with Bee on a half-back pass for the score.
