The KC softball team swept their doubleheader with Shawnee on the road winning the opener 9-2 and the nightcap 10-0.
In the opener, Shelby Houlchei improved to 15-7 allowing 3 hits and 0 earned runs with 6 strikeouts. Rylee Langendorf homered and doubled as part of her 3 hit game, Lauren Brown was 3-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI, Josie Grunloh was 4-4 with a pair of RBI, Mayci Wilderman had 3 hits including a double and drove in a run and Houchlei also had 2 hits including a double with an RBI.
In the 2nd game, Wilderman doubled home a run, Ivy Smart hit a 3-run homer, Brooklynn Smith doubled home a run, Brown doubled home a run and Houchlei drove in a pair.
