The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting three additional COVID-19 related deaths in South Central Illinois on Tuesday.  They include a male in his 40s in Jefferson County, a male in his 70s in Clay County, and a male in his 70s in Wayne County.   They are among 47 additional deaths being reported statewide.…read more »

Sunday COVID-19 Update:   1,249 new cases and 22 additional deaths  

The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 1,249 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.   There were 22 additional deaths statewide.   None were in South Central Illinois. Saturday COVID-19 Update: 1,780 new cases and 34 addditional deaths     

The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 1,780 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease on Saturday.   They are also reporting 34 additional deaths.  None were in South Central Illinois. Marion County Health Department reports 10 new COVID-19 cases  

The Marion County Health Department is reporting ten new COVID-19 cases on Thursday and Friday and no new deaths.    There were 2,441 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 55 additional deaths.  None were in South Central Illinois. 1,884 new cases and 32 additional COVID-19 deaths reported on Thursday

The Illinois Department of Public Health is reporting 1,884 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease on Thursday.  There were 32 additional deaths.  None were in South Central Illinois, but Madison and Monroe Counties in Southwestern Illinois reported two deaths apiece. The Marion County Health Department is reporting the 113th death during the COVID-19 pandemic.   A female in her 80s.    She was not a long-term care resident.
